On May 29, 2013 the Appellate Department of the Los Angeles
Superior Court affirmed Kelley Lynch’s conviction of five counts of violating a
2007 stay away order protecting Leonard Cohen and two counts of making dozens
of obscene and threatening phone calls to the singer-songwriter.
As referenced in footnote 2 of the opinion, Kelley Lynch’s
petition for writ of habeas corpus, in which she blamed her convictions on poor
performance by her court appointed trial counsel, was also shot down by the appellate court.
